Description:
This aroma and flavour of grapefruit, nootkatone has been produced by a reaction between a transformed e-coli bacteria which has been inserted with a modified part from another bacteria- bacillus megaterium and valencene- the valencia orange flavour. The valencene has also been created through a modified micro-organism. The nootkatone produced is classed as ‘EU Natural’.
